1-What are variables, why do we care, how do we make valid measurements, and what types of information do different measures contain?

2-. Write a research question about a difference between groups, or a relationship between variables that interests you.

1. Then, name/identify the first variable,
   1. explain it conceptually (what are you trying to measure?),
   2. explain its operational definition (what are the exact steps and equipment or materials required to make the measurement?)
   3. list its scale of measurement (nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio scale) and explain why the variable fits one of these categories.
   4. explain if the variable is discrete (like the number of people), or if its values are continuous (like height)

   2. Avoid any question that has more than 2 variables - keep things as simple as possible throughout our class.
