1.When it comes to social responsibility in a business setting it means the company does things for the community and others for the good of the environment.
Social responsibility to me means not only being about making money. It means companies are ethical, having diverse employees. Owners doing more than just running their business they reach out help others. Smaller companies may not be able to do things such as Charity but they can play their part being environmentally responsible by "recycling goods and materials throughout its process including promoting reuse practices with its customers". I think it's very important for businesses to be socially responsible because a company should be upstanding. Companies not being ethical or working on helping the community can make them look bad and lose business, also may not want to be employed there. It's important to put people first.
The main connection between ethics and corporate social responsibility is that it is all for the best of other people and things. The best way for a manager to encourage ethics is by setting boundaries making it known from the beginning what is expected and leading by example. (NW).
in response to this discussion post, debate the pros and cons of corporate social responsibility and give an example of what happens when ethics fails at an organization. Your example can be a personal one or you can research an example. If you use an example found through research you must include the citation.
