An undesired competing reaction is the combustion of ethylene:

The mixed feed to the reactor contains three moles of C2H4 per mole of O2. The fractional conversion of ethylene in the reactor is 20.0% and the yield of ethylene oxide based on ethylene consumed is 80.0%. A multiple unit process is used to separate the products. The C2H4 and O2 are recycled back to the reactor, C2H4O is sold as a product and the CO2 and H2O are discarded. Calculate the molar flow rates of O2 and and C2H4 in the fresh feed needed to produce 1500kgC2H4Ohr. Also calculate the overall conversion, the overall yield based on the ethylene fed and composition of the recycle stream if the fresh feed contains 1.00% non-reactive impurities and 10.0% of the recycle stream is purged.
