2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 3) Questions 1) 2) 3) 4) For each ID determine the median number of taps and record this number in the Individual Data Summary Table (Appendix A). For each ID. calculate the average movement time (in ms) for a single movement of the reciprocal tapping task. Do this by dividing each median number of taps by 10. which will give you the number of taps per second during the 10 5 trial. Take the inverse of this number. which is 11x (where x is the number of taps per second). Then. multiply this number by 1000 to obtain the average movement time in milliseconds (ms). Record this average movement time in the Individual Data Summary Table. For each ID. calculate movement speed (in cmls) for a single movement of the reciprocal tapping task. Do this by subtracting 1 from each median number of taps; multiplying the obtained number by the distance (D) between the two targets; and dividing the result by 10. Record your Average Movement Time (MT) results for each ID on the Data Sheet. Record your Average Movement Speed (MS) results for each ID on Data Sheet. Plot the average movement time for each ID on a column graph where ID is on the x~axis and MT is on the y- axis. Plot the average movement speeds for each ID on a colum n graph where ID is on the xaxis and MS is on the y~ax15. Describe how this lab relate to Fitts' Law. What are you expecting the results will look like? Refer to your Motor Learning text for a review of Fitts' Law for assistance in answering this question. Were there systematic differences in the data between tasks that shared the same ID? If yes or no. what might this indicates? Look at the movement time graph to answerthe question. How do the results of this lab show a speed-accuracy tradeoff as it relates to task characteristics. explain it yes or no? Look at the speed graph and target distance to answer this question. Describe a skill performance situation in which task difficulty is influenced by target size and distance relationships. Be specific in your description. Use the results from you lab (numbers and observations) to support your answers. Also. use examples from the book. Upload the excel file and the final word document with the graphs and data collected (table format). 1}
