The surface roughness of the connecting pipe is =0.3mm. The pipe has a diameter of 18cm and the height different between the reservoir surfaces is 60m. Include minor losses and assume that the inlet, outlet and pump combine to create a total minor loss K factor of 200 . Find: What is the power input of the pump in Watts to achieve the specified flow rate? Hint: You may need the attached Moody diagram. You may consider both reservoirs to be large. Assume 100% pump efficiency. If you need to iterate, perform this procedure until the 1's digit in the velocity stops changing. Acceleration due to gravity is 9.8m/s2. =998kg/m3=0.001kg/(ms)
