2. (5 points) Assume that a developed (rich) country imports parts in order to produce finished goods which it then sells in the domestic and foreign markets. This country often has high tariffs on finished goods and low tariffs on intermediate (input) goods. Why would the developed country want to have a tariff structure like this?
