2) Analyze the Index of Flexibility data (Graphs B and D), compare and contrast the relationship between flexibility and physical activity (Total METS) and flexibility

2) Analyze the Index of Flexibility data (Graphs B and D), compare and contrast the relationship between flexibility and physical activity (Total METS) and flexibility and sport participation (Score Total). What information are these graphs telling us? Which type of activity (physical activity or sport participation) appears to be better for cognitive flexibility? Why do you think that is (what is your hypothesis)?

% Change = the change in score from the first task (easier condition; Stroop words only & Trail A) to the second task (harder condition; Stroop color of ink & Trail B). Lower % change is better (closer to 0 is better).

R2 = Strength of correlation (from 0 to 1; 1 is a perfect correlation, 0 is no correlation)

R = the square root of R2 (from -1 to 1; 1 is a perfect positive correlation, -1 is a perfect negative correlation, 0 is no correlation)

Total METS = The total METS reported on the IPAQ, higher numbers mean more weekly physical activity

"Score Total" = the amount of hours spent playing sports over someone's lifetime (based on the Qualtrics online survey). Higher numbers mean more time spent playing sports.

"Index of inhibition" = Scores on the Stroop task

"Index of Flexibility" = Scores on the Trail Making task
