1) African American female (37 years old) presenting with depression. The client is a Christian. The client is married and unable to conceive a child after 7 years of trying. The client is becoming extremely depressed blaming herself for own body's inability to have a child sending her into a spiral of intense negative emotions. In her mind she feels that her husband will leave her due to this misfortune.
2) Hispanic male (14 years old) presenting with depression due to consistent bullying in his school environment. The client is catholic. The client moved to the United States 2 years ago with his parents and siblings. Due to language barriers the client has had a challenging time making friends. He is currently being bullied at school and recently was suspended from school for fighting when defend himself. The fight was caught on camera making the school environment event worst. The client has been isolating himself to avoid the ridicule of his peers.
In reviewing the 2 cases above what is the best approach to implement to formulate a diagnosis for these 2 clients?
