a)George's son, age 16, is driving a family car and kills a pedestrian in a drag racing contest on an isolated stretch of highway. The heirs of the deceased pedestrian sue for $100,000. The family car is destroyed. It has an actual cash value of $15,000 and a replacement cost of $28,000.
b)George borrows a friend's car to go to the supermarket. The friends has no insurance on the car as he never drives it. George fails to stop at a red light and negligently smashed into another motorist. The other driver's car, valued at $7,000, is totally destroyed. In addition, damages to the friend's car are $3,000.
c)George takes his car to a mechanic because George hears an unusual noise and is worried something is seriously wrong. The mechanic needs to order a prat and tells George he can fix the car in a few days. George continues to drive the car and while spending down the highway, a support rod breaks, causing George to lose control. George's car is also damaged and it will cost $5,000 to repair.
d)a thief breaks a car window and steals an iPhone and golf clubs locked in the car. It will cost $100 to replace the damaged window. The stolen property is valued at $900.
e)George's daughter, Cindy, attends college in another state and drives a family auto. George tells her not to allow anyone else to drive the car. Cindy lets her boyfriend drive the car ad he negligently injures another motorist. The boyfriend is sued for $200,000. The boyfriend has his own auto policy with minimum limits of $50,000/$150,000/$15,000 for Coverage A.
f) George's 14-year-old, unlicensed son, Billy, decides to take the family car to Sheetz to get ice cream. He stops to pick up his friends, john, also 14, on the way Billy accidently hits another car in the Sheetz parking lot causing $2,000 damage to the other car. He fails to see a car parked on the street next t his house and crashed into it. Damage to the other car is $8,000. Two high school students were making out in the cr. Both sustained injuries requiring medical treatment of $700 each.
h)George owns a vintage 1950 car that he's fixing up in his garage. The car is not listed on George's auto insurance policy and George carries no insurance on this vehicle. George's daughter takes the vintage car for a ride while George is out shopping in the family's minivan. On his way home, George's minivan is hit by his vintage car driven by his daughter. Damage to the minivan is $5,000. Damage to the vintage car is $9,000. George suffers injuries that require emergency treatment. The cost of the medial care is $7,000. The daughter's boyfriend is also in the vintage car and suffers minor injuries. His medical bills total $600.
i)George uses his family car for business trips, taking clients and company materials from the home office to a conference center 20 miles away. On one of these trips, George is hit by another vehicle, but the other driver doesn't stop. George reports the accident to the police, but the other car is never found. Two passengers in George's car were injured, each with medical bills of $12,000. George's car suffered damage of $1,500.
