CH3OH+HICH3I+H2O In addition to unreacted CH3OH, there is 81.6%CH3 in the composition of the product (P), while the waste (W) contains 82.6%HI and 17.4%H2 O. Some part of the waste stream is mixed with the recycle stream into the HI feed stream. Single pass conversion for the reactor is given as 40%.
