2. Many claim that students' attention declines approximately 15 minutes into lectures. A researcher is interested in determining whether attentional engagement in lectures among University students dissipates over the course of the lecture. The researcher brings a random sample of six University students into the lab and asks them to watch a video of a pre-recorded Psychology lecture. After each 15-minute interval, the video is paused, and the participant is asked to rate how engaged/focused they were in the lecture (on a scale of 100; with 100 being 100%/fully engaged). Attention focus is measured at four intervals: 15-minutes into the lecture, 30-minutes into the lecture, 45-minutes into the lecture, and 60 minutes into the lecture. (6 marks total)
Use the date AttentionSpan.csv from eClass to help the researcher understand how attention focus varies across the duration of a lecture. Use alpha = .05 for any decisions you make about the null hypotheses and statistical significance.
a) Test assumptions for this analysis and state whether each is met or not met. Briefly explain the evidence you used to come to your decision about each assumption (please include screenshots of the relevant part of the jamovi output to support your answers and to be eligible for full marks).
