2. The tourism sector is one of the most affected sectors by COVID-19 pandemic. According to an estimate by the World Travel and Tourism Council, there is a risk of approximately 50 million job cuts worldwide in the travel and tourism industry out of which around 30 million job cuts are in Asia. Malaysia, as one of the most favourite tourism destinations in Asia, is no exception whose tourism sector is one of the most affected sectors. According to an estimate by the Malaysian Government, the expected loss to the tourism sector in the first two months is approximately RM3.37 billion. Once the outbreak is over, it is expected that it could take up to 10 months or even more to recover. The tourism sector is seeking your expertise to conduct research on tourists and propose viable strategies for bringing tourism to a normal position. Construct a research framework by picking any of the factors (variables) mentioned in TABLE Q2. (You can choose a minimum of TWO (2) variables and no limit for maximum variables. However, the established relationship in the research framework should be meaningful and can provide useful insights to the tourism sector. You also need to provide the hypotheses). [10 marks] b.
