This should be a balanced piece where students present their views and experience and evaluate the literature in presenting their arguments. In their summing up at the end of the piece students should give their own viewpoint about the importance of these arguments and how they affect policy making. This can be within the UK or internationally. This is a debate so students can draw upon experiential knowledge and persuasive language to represent their views, however students need to be careful to ensure that they use a range of policy, legislation and published literature to support their views. The choice of issues/questions that students will debate will be introduced in class in the coming weeks. The submission for this piece will be Monday 1st August at 2pm and the submission will be via Canvas.
