3. Discussions about the market view

The critical discussions about the market view should consider two main elements:

• Past FX market behavior: You should select two pairs of currency from the five listed above (e.g. AUD/USD, AUD/EURO, AUD/JPY, USD/JPY, USD/EUR, etc.) and examine their past performance. Your analysis should go back at least two years and can be thought of as an events study, i.e. looking at currency price movements over time and considering events that have resulted in the respective price action. There should be adequate links between the data, research, and discussions put forth.
• A market view forecast: Using the two currency pairs youve selected above, provide a forecast of where you think prices are going to be in the future. You should provide commentary about where you think prices are going to be 3 6 months in the future and provide adequate justification for your forecast using both academic and market data.
