Labor unions are organizations of employees formed to protect and advance their members' interests by bargaining with management over job$-$related issues. This activity is important because, although unions are not as powerful or as popular as they may have been in the $20$th century, managers must be aware of what unions are and of the legal requirements surrounding different types of working environments.
