She believes that the photo is worthless, but the frame will bring at least $5.00. She places the entire item - frame with photo inside - on sale for $5.00. Penny Loafer recognizes the photo and believes that it is a reproduction of a famous work by the renowned photographer Ansel Adams. Penny buys the entire item for the asking price. Later, Penny brings the photo to an appraiser who informs her that it is not a reproduction, it is an original Adams and offers her $5,000.00 for it.
