3. In this case I'm trying to put together a rate of change of increase of honeybee numbers between the hive workers and foragers between April and May. The domain is 0-60 days in which the hive will be building up for the summer. H is how many bees are in the hive at one time 40,000. f is the amount of foragers in the hive at the beginning of April which is 20,000 and the same (w) worker bees as 20,000 as well. The basic function that I have is H(t)=(f+w) and the differential equation is.

2. Break down: H(t)=f(x)+w(x)

The rate of increase for the forager bees per day is 5.6 and the rate of increase of worker bees is 8.4 in total the of increase is 14 bees per day.

I'm not sure how to answer these to provide a proper response, using the response above.

  1. State the first derivative of your model.
  2. Using the first derivative and two data points evaluate the definite integral over the interval and interpret your answer.
  3. Using your data and the function describing it, develop a word problem that requires derivative and /or integral for solving. Include the solution and explain the answer in the context of the data.
