3. You have a friend, Doug, who was involved in a motor vehicle accident two years ago and is suing the person who was responsible for the accident. Doug is really motivated by the principle of this matter - the person who hit him was distracted on their cellphone and Doug wants to send a message to all Canadians that distracted driving is wrong. Doug hopes that the result in this matter will do that. Doug has been subjected to a wheelchair since the accident and likely will be unable to walk ever again. After this accident, Doug went out and hired a lawyer from Square and Square to represent him. Doug does not really understand the legal aspects of his case. His perception of his lawyer is a strong-willed lawyer, who is ruthless and will fight for his rights. That is exactly why Doug hired the lawyer! Each time they are in court, Doug's lawyer is screaming and yelling at the opposing side about how wrong they were to cause this accident. Doug knows that he needs a lot of money from this accident because he will have medical bills for years and years. He was also eyeing an elevator for his house, as he wants to be able to sleep in his bedroom on the second floor. Write an essay as if you are speaking to Doug explaining to him a little bit about mediation

and what he can expect in the context? (10 marks)
