3. You manage a factory that produces shoes in Zhejiang Province. The property next door is currently occupied by a factory that produces large machinery. The border between the two properties is paved, and both of the properties use the paved area as a driveway to get around back, where both have loading docks. The paved area is 60% on your side, and 40% on the other property Both your company's trucks and the other company's trucks go over that driveway, and of course both sets of trucks straddle the property line, most of the time.+ However, your company's trucks are smaller and lighter, and could, if necessary stay entirely on your side of the property line. The other company's trucks are bigger, and carry much heavier loads. It is nearly impossible for them to stay on their side of the property line. + You have noticed that the other company's trucks are beginning to cause damage to your side of the driveway. That will cost you money. You decide you want to negotiate some sort of deal with the company next door so that they can use the driveway and pay you for that use. You do not want them to use it except to drive trucks. They want to make sure that if you sell your factory, they still can use the driveway.
