4. A motorcyclist is traveling at a constant speed of 20 m/s . He wishes to jump over a river that is 10 m wide. He installs a ramp just before the river so that he will be able to clear the river. Since he doesn't understand projectile motion, he arbitrarily sets the ramp angle to 30 degrees. Take xo = 0 and yo = 0 at the highest point of the ramp. a. How much time has elapsed from when he leaves the ramp until he reaches the highest point? For reference: sin 30 = 1/2, cos 30 = v3/2 = 0.87. Assume that g = 10m/$2. Neglect air resistance. 8 = 30 b. How far from the end of the ramp does he land? Note that the height of the ground on the opposite side of the river is the same as the highest point of the ramp.
