4. Jerry, a young person with no previous credit history, asks his father to cosign a car loan. The father, who does not want to be bound by the agreement but wants the son to get the loan, illegibly scribbles his name on the loan application as guarantor, making sure that no-body will be able to read what the signature says. The loan is approved, and six months later, Jerry misses a few payments. The bank now wants to force Jerry's father to pay the loan on Jerry's behalf.
