4. Twa ethanof storage tanks are connected by 100 m of straight pipe: Both tanks are open to atmosphere and the connecting pipe has an inside diameter of 50mm and relative roughiness of 0.002 . Determine the pressure drop over the length of pipe if flowrate is 16 m2h1 and estimate the difference in level of ethanol between the two tanks. There are no extra fittings in the pipe but entrance to the pipe and exit from the pipe should be taken inte account i,e K0,1=0.5 and Kutrams=1,0. The density of ethanol is 780kgm1 and its viscosity is 1.7103Nsm. [8marks]
