4:59 IKETAKEDNESS 36 Assignment #2 - EPP421 - ERP CHECKLIST / EOC/FAC LAYOUT Topic Questions - 20%: Now that you have a better understanding of the importance and objective of an ERP, your organization has requested the following support. Your airline is planning to start operations into the U.S. The DOT and NTSB have requested a plan showing your compliance with the US Federal Family Assistance Plan revised in December 2008 (this file is available on Blackboard under assignments). If not fulfilled, the DOT will NOT provide permission for your carrier to operate in the U.S. Please review the below tasks carefully. You will also need to consider the design of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC). 1. Provide an executive summary of the recommendations to your airline's corporate head office regarding incorporating the regulatory requirements into their ERP plan. Special attention to the victim support tasks towards the air operator. Focus on the key elements that must be included in your ICS. (Introduction, key points or elements of the document, followed by a conclusion). 2. Provide the immediate action checkpoints that are required to be actioned on the day of activation. You may need to include interaction with other responding agencies to ensure transparency for the affected airline. This will be included in a checklist form using our course's concepts of checklist development. There should be only 10 checklist points. You will need to focus on potentially clumping similar activities together as the air carrier has a total of 32-victim support tasks. 3. Design an EOC for an airline. Include all relevant technology, layout, departments, seating, and logistical support should not be hand drawn. Please include factual costs for any enhancements to the room. While you do not have a specific budget for spending, be cost-conscious. Be creative but realistic at the same time. Remember what was discussed in the classes before reading week regarding EOC. 4. Based on our Week #11 lecture and group research. Design a Family Assistance Centre using a local hotel in Toronto. Using the data outlined in week #11, plan for the affected flight to have 300 passengers. Develop a floor plan, outline of how the facility would be used, key rooms, etc.
