Samuel was a supplier of Sydney who refused to supply him any further until an amount of at least R100 000 was paid on an overdue account. At that stage Sydney was already indebted to various other creditors to the sum of R500 000. None of these other creditors had received payments of their debts at this time. The trustee challenges the payment made to Samuel. Advise Sydney of the legal position.
