6. Build a stem-and-leaf plot of the class head length data. An example is given in Figure 1.2 where 15 numbers (152, 164, 145, 150, 164, 148, 168, 171, 158, 159, 162, 161, 153, 162, 165) are sorted and then arrayed into the plot. The stem is the hundreds and tens places of the numbers (e.g. 14 of 145). The leaves are the ones place (e.g. 5 of 145). The pipe ("I") separates them. The number of "leaves" gives a clear impression of how common the "stem" is in the sample. Once you have your plot, indicate the position of the mean and median in the plot. You can circle one or two leaves to indicate the median. Use an arrow to show where the mean lies
