The pipeline consists of 85 m straight pipe, 2 wide open gate valves, 1 wide open angle valve, 4 standart 90 elbows, i entrance from a reservoir and 1 free discharge. The elevation of the entrance is 10 m while the elevation of the discharge is 35 m. The inlet pressure is 20 psig and exit pressure is 0 psig. A pump is installed in the line to move the water. Calculate the pump work (J/kg) so the volumetric flow rate will be Q= 0.01 m3 /s. (1 psi = lbf/in2 ).
