'On 1 August I saw the latest Samsung hand phone at a very reasonable price at a shop in the Mall. I told the shop owner, Tony, that, I was interested in buying the hand phone but would like to think about it for a few days. On 5 August I received a letter from Tony, stating that he was willing to sell the hand phone at a rock bottom price of BDT 300. Iimmediately posted a letter of acceptance on the same day (5 August). Tony received my letter of acceptance on 8 August. The next day (6 August) I met my old classmate, Alfi, who said he was interested in buying a hand phone. I asked him if he would like to buy the Samsung hand phone that I was about to purchase from Tony, at BDT 600. Alfi said he would like to think about it and let me know. On 7 August Alfi posted a letteraccepting my offer. This letter I received on 9 August. On the 7 August I received a fax from Tony revoking his offer to sell the Samsung hand phone. On 8 August I received a call from Alfi saying that he changed his mind and did not want to buy the Samsung hand phone after all. He asked me to ignore his letter of acceptance that he had posted on 7August.'
