8. [6 points] Data - plot and discuss. For this question you need to use FRED to plot 3 macroeconomic time series (variables) on ONE figure - the figure must be included with your assignment, a discussion of the figure must also be provided. Source: Use data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Saint Louise, the FRED database. Data - Names of the 3 variables to plot (exact titles are in blue): 1. Interest rate on 10-year US Treasury Bond: Market Yield on US Treasury Security at 10-year Constant Maturity Rate. 2. Interest rate on the 3-month T-bill: the 3-month Treasury Bill Secondary Market Rate. 3. The federal funds rate: Federal Funds Effective Rate. Frequency: You can use daily OR monthly data; use same frequency for all 3 series. Sample period: 2000 to present. Remark: Notice that you are asked to plot 3 different interest rates: the short term rate (as given by the 3-month T-bill rate), the long term interest rate (given by 10-year T-bond), and the federal funds rate (specifically the effective rate; this is the interest rate that the FED targets/ influences as part of its monetary policy). Edit Figures: To include all 3 variables, edit the figure & choose to "add line" to add multiple series/variables to the same Figure, etc. Then download it and submit it along with a discussion of the data. The figure should have ALL 3 VARIABLES TOGETHER in ONE single diagram
