8. Michael took his white suit and his wife's dress to QUIK CLEAN dry cleaners. He had been a customer for the last 5 years. As usual, on giving his items to the lady at the front counter, he was given a docket and he put it into his wallet without reading the ticket. The next day when he went to collect the items, he was told that another lady was given the white suit after she claimed she lost her ticket. His Wife's dress had a big brown stain on it. Michael was upset and demanded compensation. He was told that he should check the back of his docket. He looked and it said: We are not liable for any loss or damage to clothing left for cleaning howsoever such damage is caused" The manager also pointed to a sign at the very back of the shop which had the same words. The sign looked old and had been there for many years. Michael protests that he had never read the sign, or looked at the back of the docket. Advise Michael
