9. Heavenly Treat is a hair and body treatment salon that provides hair services such as haircuts, perms, colors, shampoo, curling; and facial treatment such as removing facial hair, fixing eyebrows, waxing, and facial massage. Customers can be divided into three groups: (i) Group-1 customers want facials and hair styling, (ii) Group-2 customers want hair styling, and (iii) Group-3 customers are walk-in customers who want a simple haircut. Groups 1,2, and 3 constitute 20 percent, 70 percent, and 10 percent of the customers, respectively. All arriving customers must first go to the receptionist to register. It takes an average of 1 minute for the receptionist to register each customer. The registration time, however, is 2 minutes for Group-1 customers who require both facial and hair styling. After registration, Group-1 customers are sent to a skin care therapist for facial services. Facials take an average of 30 minutes. After receiving their facials, Group-1 customers go to the shampoo station to have their hair washed. Washing and drying hair takes about 5 minutes. They are then sent to a senior hair stylist to have their hair done. It takes a senior hair stylist an average of 40 minutes to finish serving a customer. The customer then goes to the cashier to pay for the services, which takes about 3 minutes. After the reception, a Group- 2 customer goes to the shampoo station, a senior hair stylist, and the cashier. The service times of Group-2 customers at this stages are the same as those for Group-1 customers. Group-3 customers-after reception and the shampoo station-are sent to a junior hair stylist to get their haircuts. The average time for a haircut is about 20 minutes. There are one receptionist, one hair washer, five senior hair stylists, one junior hair stylist, and one cashier. a. Draw process-flow chart of the operations in Heavenly Treat. b.
