You met with Cheryl, the CEO's Executive Assistant and you've finalized the details. You'll be blocking off the upper section of the restaurant for the event. This area can comfortably hold about 100 people which is great since they're expecting about 90 people to attend. You've planned a small buffet set up with servers cruising the room offering appetizers and hors d'oeuvres Servers will circulate with trays of wine and beer and if guests want something stronger they can just head to the small bar that will be set up on one side of the room. Just 2 days before the event the Province of Ontario announced another LOCKDOWN. Restaurants can be at half capacity; guests are to be seated at all times; masks ON when guests are walking to the restrooms. So, you have to call Cheryl to say you cannot accommodate 90 people - the space is only big enough for 50. AND the entire service concept will have to change. Cheryl is not happy - and tries to convince you that as they are an important CORPORATE CLIENT that you should make an exception for this special event.
