A force probe connected to cart B records force versus time acting on cart B during the collision, as shown in Figure 3.

a) Use Figures 1 and 2 to obtain the velocities of cart A before and after the collision.

b) Use Figure 3 to estimate the impulse on cart B. Determine the final velocity of cart B.

c) Was momentum conserved in this experiment?

d) Was KE conserved in this collision? What type of collision occurred?

e) Was Newton's third law verified in this collision?

Note: For this experiment, a 5% difference between results is more than sufficient to consider the answers to be "the same."
