A 5500kg satellite is in orbit, 3000 km above earth. What is the linear speed and what is the orbital period?

Here is what I have so far, but I'm stuck on the forumula....a) mass of satellite is 5500kg, b) mass of earth is 5.98 x 10^24, c) height is 3000km d) radius of earth is 6.38 x 10^6 e) Orbital radius is 8 x 10^6 (I'm not sure where this came from!!!), need to find v and w (my teacher calls orbital period w). Thank you in advance..
