A 56-year-old woman, Ms Springer, has been admitted with pneumonia after being diagnosed from a portable CXR. She is on 2L O2 via nasal specs. Her temperature is 39.4oC, with regular paracetamol. HR is 88 regular, RR 30, BP 115/80. The doctor has ordered blood cultures, FBE, LFT. There is a note in her file to transfer her to the nearest tertiary hospital if her condition deteriorates. She has not eaten but has been drinking water. She has not passed urine for over 8 hours.
