A and B met on the street one afternoon. They started talking and almost at once became involved in a fist fight. A was beating B when C, B's brother came upon the scene, saw his brother getting beat up, and attacked A with a knife. Then A's brother D, saw A getting attacked with a knife, pulled a gun and shot C, seriously wounding him. D picked up C's knife and took it home intending to keep the knife as his own. The knife has a value of $50. C, recovering from his wounds, discovered that D had his knife. C went to D's house and after going upon D's land, was met by D and told to "get off my land." C refused to leave, whereupon D quietly removed C from the land.
