  • Pick a Career Path: Audit, Forensic Accounting, Tax, Investment Advisor, Controller, Managerial Accountant, Financial Planner, Government Accountant.
  • thread and name it Career Pathways.
  • Give a brief overview of the career. You will need to own research. The AICPA is a great tool to learn about a variety of Accounting careers, but many of them on that site require a CPA. While obtaining a CPA is wonderful, it is not a great fit for everyone. You can have a rewarding career in Accounting and not have a CPA.
  • Include what the starting position is, such as Staff Accountant.
  • What professional certifications does the career require?
  • What educational requirements are needed for the career?
  • Find a company/organization that is currently hiring in the career you selected. Share the company, position and salary.
