A certain copper rod is lined up on the y-axis, then moves at a constant speed v in the +x direction, through a region of uniform magnetic field in the +z direction. Later, the same rod is placed in the same field, (initially lined up on the y-axis) and spun around an axis in the z direction that passes through the rod's center, such that the speed of the ends of the rod is the same v. Qualitatively compare the voltage differences between the ends of the rod in each case.
