It reported a tax adjusted profit of K392,906 for the charge year 2023. This profit figure is before capital allowances. Chombo Ltd had the following assets on 1 January 2023.

The company purchased the following assets during the charge ear 2023.

The company sold the Toyota Mark II car for K15,600.
The company paid provisional income tax of K62,340
Required:
(i) Calculate the total capital allowances claimable by the company clearly showing the capital allowances claimable on each of the above assets.
(ii) Calculate the income tax payable by the company for the charge year 2023
(b) The following information is available in respect of two traders:
(i) Mr. Neene Nakanga constructed a building whose cost was made up as follows:

Staff Canteen 52,000
General Administrative Offices 35,000
Total 211,000
The building was put to use on 1 January 2019 for business purpose. In the year ended 31 December 2023 an extension was added to the factory at a cost K80 million, excluding the cost of land.
(ii) Mr. John Shiyanda,a trader constructed an industrial building at a cost of K500 million
inclusive of the cost of land of K80 million. He received a government grant to assist with the construction work of Kl00 million. The building was put to use for the purpose of the business on 1st April 2023.
Required:
Calculate all the capital allowances which can be claimed for the charge year 2023 by each of the two traders.
