A clinical study examined the ability of a new medication to reduce the symptoms of malaria. 800 people who had malaria were included in the study. 400 participants received the new medication; the other 400 received a placebo. The question asked was if there was a difference in the malaria symptoms in the participants who received the medication compared to the participants who received the placebo. At the end of 1 week, the participants' symptoms were evaluated, and the two groups were compared. There was no difference in symptoms between the two groups
