1.Copy and Paste your data into stat crunch. Label each column.

2.Run a regression test for theHigh School GPA (x) andCollege GPA (y). Go to statregressionsimple linear. Select x and y and "compute".

3.Record the r-value (correlation coefficient).

4.Click the arrow at the bottom of your test to see the scatter plot. Copy a paste a screen shot of your scatter plot.

5.Repeat Steps 2-4 but usingHigh School Math SAT score(x) andCollege GPA(y).

6.Compare the r-value forHigh School GPA (x) andCollege GPA (y) to the r-value forHigh School Math SAT score(x) andCollege GPA. Which appears to be more strongly correlated theHigh School GPA (x) andCollege GPA or High School Math SAT score(x) andCollege GPA? Explain how you can tell using the r-values.

7.Based on your observation in number 6, which would be a better predictor of College Success? Should the college use High School GPA or High School Math SAT score?
