Consider two cycles that the company could use to achieve their objective. Thermodynamic processes such as the Rankine, Otto, and Stirling cycles (amongst many others) can be considered. You would have to study the systems, determine the appropriate operating conditions, and show the cycles plotted on the relevant thermodynamic diagrams (T-S or P-H). In order to evaluate each option, you would need to analyse the technological (equipment) requirements, cycle efficiencies, work output, heating and cooling requirements etc. Compare your proposed engines' efficiencies to the corresponding Carnot efficiency.
