A consumer of soda describes their preferences in the following manner: I'm always willing to swap between 12 ounces of cherry soda and 16 ounces

A consumer of soda describes their preferences in the following manner: "I'm always willing to swap between 12 ounces of cherry soda and 16 ounces of grape soda, in either direction." We will describe consumption bundles by (C, G), where C is the number of ounces of cherry soda and G is the number of ounces of grape soda.

(a) This consumer also says: "I never get sick of soda. Given the same amount of grape soda, I like bundles with more cherry soda, and vice versa." State the economic term for this type of preferences.

(b) Write down a utility function U(C, G) that could describe this person's preferences.

(c) Given this utility function, does the consumer prefer the bundle (2, 16) or the bundle (8, 4)?

(d) Draw an indifference curve diagram describing this consumer's preferences. Put Cherry Soda on the x-axis. Include in your diagram the following: IC1: The indifference curve containing the bundle (8, 4). IC2: The indifference curve containing the bundle (2, 16). Label any and all intercepts with numerical values.
