A current topic that interest me is the debate over minimum wage. I am currently not involved in any activities that are for or against the increase of minimum wage. A recent internet search that I did was look at how different states are creating their own state minimum wage that is a lot higher than the current federal minimum wage. I think it is very interesting that each state has the ability to increase minimum wage. I do think that the cost of living is based on the state so I like how the states have their authority to increase as they deemed necessary. I think some of the demographics from my audience in this class is that we are all working towards a college degree that will not only hopefully provide us with a comfortable life, but also have direct positive impact on our community. I think the audience should care about the topic as it can impact many people. I think this topic/change in minimum wage can impact people postively and negatively so I think it is important that everyone is educated on the pros and cons of increasing minimum wage
