A Developmental Psychologist is wondering how toddlers learn. He is particularly interested in how young children learn the alphabet (ABCs). With all the videos, computer programs and so forth, he is interested in discovering the method by which the children learn quickest. To try to answer his question, he gather as sample of 24 children who just turned 2-years old. These toddlers have not yet mastered their ABCs. He randomly assigns 8 children to one of three treatment groups. For the first group, the children's moms sing the ABC song with them once per day. The second group is exposed to a cute and fuzzy TV character singing the song, and the third group learns from a smartphone APP. The psychologist measures how many days it takes before the children can correctly recite the ABCs on three consecutive days. The data appear on the next page.
