A form of resistance mentioned by Champoux (2016), is the social system in the organization. In short, when something familiar turn to an unfamiliar interaction of social norms, it will attract a resistance. I would agree with Champoux as I have experienced this many time before. Some good and some bad. For example, during my time as a recruiter, I was in charge of a recruiting center and a new person came in to replace me as I was on my way out to relocate to another state. The individual that replaced me changed everything that we established (work ethic, freedom of maneuver in our operational environment, population interaction, and social circle interaction). As I was still around working, my former team stated that "the "new guy" is changing everything and it is miserable. " I felt as though I needed to have a talk with the new guy and let him know that the changes he is implementing are not going to work in this environment. I explained to him that the team has a person that is a local and grew up in the area. I told him to use his expertise and continue to build upon relationships
