A gas turbine powerplant is intaking 10 L/s of air at sea level (1 atm) with the density of 1.1 kg/m3. Compression ratio in compressor

A gas turbine powerplant is intaking 10 L/s of air at sea level (1 atm) with the density of 1.1 kg/m3. Compression ratio in compressor is 30:1. Kerosine is used as the fuel with the calorific value of 45 MJ/kg. At AFR (mass air/mass fuel ratio) of 70 the combustion efficiency is 80%.

a) If thermal efficiency of the engine and generator efficiency are 50% and 90% respectively, Find the total electrical energy that can be produced by this powerplant?

b) If bio-Kerosine with calorific value of 40 MJ/kg and combustion efficiency of 85% (other parameters unchanged) is used, how much more fuel need to be burnt yearly in compared to Kerosine?

c) Calculate sfc (specific fuel consumption in g/kWh) of the engine for each fuel?
