A Gemba walk is the actual place where work is done and the value is produced. There are a few things that need to be done in advance of a Gemba walk in the organization I work for. It is a senior-focused primary care office. Start by becoming acquainted with the primary care procedures of the organization, such as patient intake, consultation protocols, and follow-up procedures. Plan ahead for the Gemba walk as well to minimize interruptions to regular activities and to communicate with the appropriate staff members. I will inform staff members, such as clinic managers, physicians, and support staff, of the Gemba walk's objectives, highlighting how it will enhance patient care and operational effectiveness. I will need to obtain all required approvals or permits, especially those pertaining to patient confidentiality and privacy. Staff members' reluctance who are uncomfortable with the attention or intrusion, scheduling conflicts, or worries about confidentiality violations can all be practical obstacles to be prepared for. Show genuine interest in learning how and why people do their jobs a certain way, and they will feel respected (Gesinger, S., 2016). To get over these challenges, I will reassure staff members about the goals and advantages of
