A gift exchange is happening with 5 people: Tracy, Jason, Ellen, Nathan and Dennis. Each person gives 1 gift and receives 1 gift. All names are put into a hat and are randomly selected. If a person pulls his own name, the selection process starts over again (you cannot select your own name). Nathan is the first to pull a name out of the hat and it is Jason. This means Nathan will get a gift for Jason. The other selections are not announced (each selection after Nathan selects Jason is unknown to the others). The order of picking doesn't matter (it doesn't matter if Ellen picks second or Tracy picks second, etc.) Assuming there was no redraw (no one picks their own name), what is the probability that Jason will get a gift for Nathan? What is the probability that Ellen will get a gift for Nathan?
