A high-level executive is planning to retire in a few years and comes to you to talk about succession planning. The executive, a white woman, has worked for the company for 25 years and is interested in training someone on her team to take her place; however, the executive expresses concern that all of her team members are white women because, at the time of building her team, she wanted to elevate women in the workplace and chose people who looked like her.
