b. What is the maximum combined dollar amount of all Sec. 179 deductions for A, B, C and D in 2018? What is the minimum?

c. "Do your" answers to a and b above change if A sold 20,000 of the B common shares on July 1, 2015 to an independent third party (thus ending the year with 65,132 B shares)?

D. For the questions below, assume A sold all of its shares in Cola, Inc. to Burgers inc. on July 1, 2018 for $1,000,000 (the FMV of the shares on that date):

i. How would this transaction change, if at all, your answers to (a) through (c) above?

ii. What would be the tax result if A's original basis was $1,500,000? What if B then sells the C shares to an independent third party in August of 2019 for $900,000?
